On September 16, 2025, the Career and Alumni Connection Centre (CACC) conducted the activity, Career Advancement and Readiness Expo (CARE 2025), which took place at the UC Theatre, with 597 College of Nursing students and 6 industry partners in collaboration with the University of the Cordilleras College of Nursing (CON).
The activity emphasises the importance of proper career planning and exposes participants to various healthcare opportunities. Representatives from international career service providers, manpower agencies, and a local hospital discussed their services, shared experiences, and explored professional growth opportunities and job prospects.
Through interactive discussions and open-table sessions, students had the opportunity to engage directly with prospective employers, gaining first-hand information and guidance to make well-informed career decisions. Participants enthusiastically visited the booths of the following partner organizations:
- Coronis Health – Healthcare solutions and career opportunities
- i4Talents Manpower, Inc. – Opportunities in Singapore, Australia, and the US through the International Nurse Career Advancement Program (INCAP)
- IDP Education Limited – Assistance for further studies in Ireland, Canada, Australia, the UK, and other countries, including IELTS support
- Ikon Solutions – Overseas employment and placement opportunities
- Rosario Medical Center of Guagua, Inc. – Career opportunities in local hospital practice
- Cander Visa Consultancy Services, Inc. – Visa consultancy services for healthcare professionals seeking international opportunities
The CARE 2025 event served as a dynamic platform for students to explore local and international career options, preparing them for the transition from academic life to the professional world through meaningful engagement with industry experts and institutions. This initiative supports the University’s commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals)—fostering global readiness and lifelong learning among UC students.
