This month’s Torchbearers: UC Alumni Spotlight is especially powerful as we celebrate the theme of Independence & Nation Builders: Governance & Public Impact. 

We are proud to feature PCOL Ledon D. Monte (Class of 1995 – BS Criminology), whose journey from the University of the Cordilleras to the frontlines of national service embodies the true spirit of a nation builder. 

Currently serving as the Deputy Regional Director for Operations at the Police Regional Office CAR, PCOL Monte has dedicated his career to public safety and impact—including his participation in the campaign to free Marawi City. His story reminds us that the quest for knowledge at UC is the foundation for a lifetime of service. 

As PCOL Monte says to our current students: “Concentrate on your studies and do not rush things.” Success is built on patience, discipline, and a solid foundation.
